Sunday Stream, running your stream from the couch
Download the latest version Latest stable release, from the public GitHub repository.
Context
A streamer playing on a living-room TV should be able to go live, switch scenes and moderate chat without getting up. The project grew from that need: Couch Stream App, the Android app, then Sunday Stream which brings everything together in a single Windows application.
Problem
Control OBS, read Twitch chat and send your voice to the PC from a phone, on the local network, with low latency and an installation a non-technical person can manage.
Solution
A three-part architecture: a Windows application (Tauri, Rust) with a tray icon and signed updates, a Node.js service that talks to OBS and Twitch, and an Android application (Capacitor) with a native service that keeps the microphone active while the screen is off.
- Start and stop the stream, switch scenes, mute the microphone.
- Live Twitch chat with moderation: delete, timeout, ban.
- Phone microphone sent to the PC as Opus audio over WebRTC, injected into OBS.
- Stream health: bitrate, frames per second, dropped frames, with configurable alerts.
- QR code pairing and automatic discovery on the local network, first-run setup wizard.
The Sunday-evening Discord bot and clip management are planned for the next phase.
